I’m Daniel Tomlinson, also known as Danny Issues, a London-based visual artist and illustrator. My work is rooted in the things I genuinely love...from pop culture, cult favourites, internet humour, nightlife and the strange little details of everyday life.
My niche sits between bizarre frogs with creamy pints to reworked comic book legends and tongue-in-cheek references, the work sits somewhere between humour, nostalgia and contemporary illustration.
I’m interested in making art that doesn’t take itself too seriously while still feeling visually striking and collectible.
I spent 80% of my time at school doodling strange and borderline offensive drawings to make my mates laugh. I never thought it would amount to much, but fast forward a few years and I am making art on a full time basis.
I have worked with brands such as Nike, Guinness, collaborated with Urban Outfitters and I have had work published in books. I am stocked in a few independent stores in the UK but looking to expand further!
Whether it’s a digital print or a bespoke painting, the aim is always the same: to create work that sparks a reaction, starts conversations and ideally puts a smile on your face.
